Document Packing Lists
If you cannot find your
Answer Document Packing List (ADPL) or if you never received one,
you can download a generic version to submit to Pearson with your
test materials. The hard copy of the ADPL can be found in the district
coordinator packet, which is shipped in Box 1 (the white box) of
your test materials. The ADPL is the primary source of information
for Pearson in verifying the quantities of answer documents and
scorable test booklets districts submit for processing. The information
provided on the ADPL by the districts is key to a successful processing
and reporting cycle for each test administration. Instructions
on how to fill out the ADPL are on the document itself as well
as in the 2008 District and Campus Coordinator Manual. The ADPL
should be submitted to Pearson in the first box of your scorable
materials, on top of the campus materials. Failure to submit an
ADPL can cause delays in getting reports sent to districts on time.

PASeries® (Progress Assessment Series®) is an assessment program that provides a pre-built series of assessments in mathematics and reading for grades 3 through 8 and writing and algebra I for grades 6 through 12. PASeries uses scientific measurement scales and research-validated content to measure student progress on classroom instruction and forecast growth toward grade-level expectations or performance standards on state assessments. Online reports provide rapid results to teachers and administrators at the student, classroom, school, district and state level.
Online testing of grade 3 reading, grade 5 reading and mathematics, and grade 8 reading and mathematics are available at no cost to districts through state-adopted licenses.

License Agreement
All districts participating in PASeries testing are required to sign a PASeries license for the online state-adopted grades and subject areas prior to receiving the PASeries online login ID and password used for PASeries test administrations. If your district has submitted a license agreement in the past, it is not necessarily to submit another one. If you do not know if your district has submitted a license agreement in the past, you can either call customer service to confirm or just submit a license this year. Any new PASeries licenses will replace previously submitted licenses for your district. See the PASeries Start-Up Information for instructions on how to submit the PASeries License Agreement.

Student Registration Data File Format Instructions
This link contains complete instructions for submitting a student data file for PASeries testing. In order to participate in PASeries for the 2007–2008 school year, districts must provide a student data file to Pearson prior to testing. The submission of this file will load student data in to the PASeries Web-based testing system. The file format has changed slightly from last year. Student data submitted last year cannot be updated; you must submit a new file for the 2007–2008 school year. See the PASeries Start-Up Information for additional start-up requirements.

The Texas Education Agency has developed TAKS Study Guides to help
students strengthen the TEKS-based knowledge and skills that are taught in class and tested on TAKS. The Guides are designed for students to use on their own or for students and families to work through together. Concepts are presented in a variety of ways that will help students review the information and skills they need to be successful on the TAKS. The TAKS Study Guides can be downloaded from this site to your computer or may be purchased by calling 1-800-252-9186. You may also click on the link to open the document in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
